I figured that I might just share this via the blog, as it came out pretty well.  

This was a special request.  It might even turn into a standard product that we offer.

The base was modelled in OnShape, a fabulous cloud-based parametric CAD application, the figure was sliced up and made watertight using Netfabb, and the two were unified into a single mesh using Blender.  3D printed on the UP Plus 2.
